Jason is always saying that all games need multiplayer and this week he got two examples to prove he's right. Join Robert, Jason, Kyle and Addam as we discuss the new multiplayer announced for God of War Ascension and the announcement of The Elder Scrolls Online. God of War certainly looks to have an interesting take on competitive multiplayer and we debate whether it can be compelling. With The Elder Scrolls Online we talk about how an MMO won't be the same as Skyrim multiplayer and decide whether an MMO is even what Elder Scrolls fans want.

Games are light this week but Addam and Kyle have been playing Asura's Wrath and have plenty to say about it. While it has some problems, both agree that it's an outrageous experience that shouldn't be missed. We also talk about Black Ops 2 and the rumor of the $99 Xbox 360 with a 2 year contract.

Join Robert, Jason, Kyle, Addam, Samantha and guest Alfred aka GHR Maverick as we talk about the latest games and topics. The big game of the week might have been Prototype 2, which we do talk about, but instead the crew is infatuated by Telltale's The Walking Dead. We all know Jason loves his zombies but will he get on board with an adventure game?

Alfred talks about some games he's playing, Ace Combat: Assault Horizon and the Ballad of Gay Tony. Kyle also gets berated plenty for asking the rest of the crew to check out the Dragon's Dogma demo. We also discuss the newly revealed PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale and the House passing CISPA. Alfred also presents us with a question about podcasting. Thank you for listening and enjoy talking About Gamers Episode 133.

This week on Talking About Gamers we have been very busy playing betas. Join Robbie, Jason, Kyle and Addam as they are joined by guest AceBlack to talk about Ghost Recon Future Soldier and Diablo 3. Now technically these are called betas but we all know they serve more as demos and everyone is stoekd about both new games we got a chance to play this past week.

Another big game this past week was the Xbox 360 release of The Witcher 2. We were big fans of the game when it released last year so we take plenty of time to revisit it again. Plus we have Ace along to give us his firsthand impressions. We also discuss what we want out of God of war: Ascension (hint: not multiplayer) and talk about whether variable pricing for games is a realistic goal. We are also surprised by another of Jason's random question.

Changes are coming to the Talking About Gamers podcast and today sees the first new change. This week join Robert, Jason and Kyle as they introduce brand new hosts to the show: Addam and Samantha. We are incredibly excited with the new infusion of talent and look forward to tons of great conversations ahead.

This week we have plenty to discuss including the North American release of Xenoblade Chronicles and the highly anticipated XBLA game Fez. Kyle also tells us why Final Fantasy XIII-2 is not as good as XIII. On top of the games we also have several topics to discuss including the idea of gamer entitlement and react to an article in the Atlantic about the lack of artistic games. We also receive a surprise topic from Jason that puts the hosts on the spot.

We start off with a report from Forgetfool about his experience with one month of Star Wars: The Old Republic. After that we revisit Mass Effect 3 to get Golf Rat and Paradise's opinions on the game. We also take the time to discuss the two new pieces of DLC coming to Mass Effect 3.

Continuing the DLC discussion we talk about Capcom's stance on day one DLC and talk about Battlefield 3's new feature that allows you to purchase weapons and unlock. We also take a moment to dicuss the recent news of the TAG forums closing.

We know that the Talking About Gamers podcast has been overrun with Mass Effect content as of late. This episode we make a solemn promise to not discuss the game at all. Join Robbiejo, Forgetfool, Golf Rat and KatanaSqiurrel as we discuss all things not Mass Effect.

On the docket for this episode are several downloadable titles including Journey, Sine Mora and Shoot Many Robots. The "big" release this last week was of course Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City and Golf Rat lets us know what a disappointment it is. We also discuss the rumor of Prey 2 being cancelled and the announcement of Epic Mickey 2.

Thank you for listening and we hope you enjoy Talking About Gamers episode 129!

With Parris Lilly from Uncle Gamer and Remember When fame going old school and taking it to the balcony, this special episode of the Talking About Gamers podcast is solely devoted to Mass Effect 3 and BioWare’s recent announcement to provide “more clarity for those seeking further closure to their journey.”  Along with Parris, Robbiejo and Forgetfool are joined by accomplished podcasters in their own right -- Sugar Free and Blue Man Rule.

We know all you “entitled” gamers out there will be complaining about yet another Mass Effect 3 episode of the Talking About Gamers podcast. Unlike BioWare, our “artistic integrity” won’t come into question because we have no intention of lying down out of pity like that girl you took to prom.

It's pretty clear to anyone who has listened to us before but we're very big fans of the Mass Effect franchise. This week on Talking About Gamers join Robbiejo, Forgetfool, Golf Rat and guest Knox as we review Bioware's epic conclusion to the trilogy. There's a lot of love to go around for this game but we also don't shy away from getting after Bioware and EA for some shady and poor things surrounding the game. We do also discuss some things not named Mass Effect including Street Fight X Tekken, the new iPad, the first look at Halo 4 and Peter Molyneux's departure from Lionhead.
